Pinetree Institute is committed to raising community awareness on Adverse Childhood Experiences. We have been successful in reaching over 1,000 local community members in the counties of York, Maine and Rockingham and Strafford Counties in New Hampshire. While we have had success, we also recognize that there are many people in these communities that are unaware of ACEs and may not know of the potential impact that this awareness may have on their lives and the lives of others in their community. In response to reaching others in a more organic, informal way, we wish to find community ACEs ambassadors: local people who are connected and have relationships with the people in their communities.
Community Ambassadors are deeply connected to their communities and weave relationships with others in the community. They provide ACEs information and awareness in informal ways: Through conversations with others and sharing of ACEs printed information. Community Ambassadors will be matched to a Pinetree Master Trainer as a mentor in the same county.
A full day training is required on ACEs and Positive Childhood Experiences (PCEs) and a commitment of one year with the option to continue.
