Knock, Knock? It’s Dr. Stephanie Grant returning for a full-day training session on practical strategies to help support children and youth during challenging situations.

At our conference in May 2022, Dr. Grant presented a number of strategies to help kids regain balance during stressful times. Since then we have had many requests to have Dr. Grant spend more time with this work and to have a chance to practice the strategies she presents. We’ll learn about why we all need a great compilation of knock-knock jokes, how (and when) to use the ninja technique, applications for meltdown bingo and many, many more useful techniques.

Dr. Grant is an energetic and engaging speaker who combines deep insight with humor and practical wisdom. She holds separate master’s degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy and Psychology and a PhD in Lifespan Development and is licensed as a Professional Counselor. Her clinical and research interests focus on work with infants and children with attachment concerns and trauma histories. She brings a practical approach to prevention strategies based on both her clinical work and her own lived experience as an adoptive and foster parent.

Participant comments from our conference session:

“I loved Stephanie’s style and presentation – it was full of practical easily digestible information. She was funny, incredibly smart, and also empowering!”
“Great tools to use starting right now.”
