DESCRIPTION:The 2019 Strafford County Addiction Summit: Building Trauma-Informed Communities aims to educate and provide community members with the knowledge\, skills and tools to address challenges such as adverse childhood experiences (ACE) by utilizing trauma-informed care (TIC) principles in their everyday lives and work. By hearing concrete examples\, learning about funding opportunities\, and listening to experts across fields\, attendees will learn how to cultivate resilient communities that are built on a foundation of trauma-informed care. \nObjectives: \n\nIdentify core principles of trauma-informed care\nIdentify trauma-informed practices that can be utilized in your work\nDemonstrate trauma-informed communication skills\nApply trauma-informed practices to your interactions with others\n\nCEU Information: \n\nLADAC credit is pending approval\nCRSW credit is pending approval\nCPS credit is pending approval\n\nCost: \n\nThe cost of the conference is $20\nIf you are in need of financial assistance\, please contact SCPHN@Goodwinch.org for information about a scholarship opportunity\n\nPayment Options: \n\nYou may choose to pay by credit card\, check or invoice\nCash will not be accepted\nPlease make checks payable to “Greater Seacoast Community Health”.
